The GUBA Diaspora Network joined the Ghanaian community in Rhode Island to co-host a Ghana Gala and Cultural Reception in Pawtucket, bringing together dignitaries from Rhode Island, Boston, and Ghana in a celebration of culture, community, and national pride centred around the arrival of the Black Stars for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The event brought together community leaders, government representatives, diaspora members, and well-wishers in a vibrant celebration that reflected the strength and warmth of the Ghanaian diaspora in New England.
For the community, the Black Stars’ presence in Rhode Island was more than a sporting occasion. It was a moment of collective pride, connection, and visibility on a global stage.
